Grace Hyeri Shin is a Korean-Canadian pianist with a deep passion for teaching and mentoring the next generation of musicians. She earned both her Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance (2019) and Master of Music in Piano Performance (2021) from the University of Toronto, where she studied under Dr. Jamie Parker. She also completed a Bachelor of Arts in Worship Arts (2026) at Tyndale University. Currently, she is pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) in Church Music at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Throughout her musical career, Grace has received numerous awards and distinctions, including first prizes at the Kiwanis Music Festival, Peel Music Festival, and the Canadian Music Competition. She is also the recipient of several prestigious scholarships, including the Orford Music Academy Scholarship, the Mary-Margaret Webb Piano Performance Award (University of Toronto), and the President’s Scholarship of Merit (Tyndale University). As a performer, Grace has appeared as a soloist in Canada, Italy, and South Korea, and made her orchestral debut with the Korean Canadian Symphony Orchestra at the age of sixteen. During her studies at the University of Toronto, she was selected as a fellow of the prestigious Toronto Summer Music Festival through the Brayton Polka Fellowship and had the privilege of performing alongside internationally acclaimed artists, including Jonathan Crow, Camden Shaw, and Charles-Richard Hamelin.

With over ten years of teaching experience, Grace is committed to sharing the joy of music-making with students of all ages and abilities. She is passionate about nurturing musical potential and establishing strong technical and artistic foundations through personalized lesson plans tailored to each student’s strengths, interests, and goals. Many of her students have achieved outstanding results in competitions, music festivals, and Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) examinations. Grace also places great value on building meaningful relationships with her students, fostering a supportive and encouraging environment that enriches their musical growth and enjoyment.

Above all, Grace is dedicated to using her musical gifts in service to the Church and to cultivating both skillful musicianship and hearts of worship in the next generation. By combining artistic excellence with a passion for worship ministry, she seeks to inspire growth—musically, spiritually, and personally—in every student she teaches and every community she serves.
